Lake Keowee Antique Boat Festival
I spent the last 5 days in Seneca, SC with family at the Lake Keowee Antique Boat Festival. It was a beautiful weekend for boating. My cousin, Faye, was partially responsible for the festival. Boating runs in the family, especially antique and classic wooden boats. My grandfather is the grandson of the founder of Chris Craft. He is a hit of these shows. He will share stories all day of growing up in Alganac, MI where Chris Crafts were built and tested. The festival had a great turnout. It started on Thursday with a cruise and lunch where we had 10-12 boats. Friday we had even more boats for a cruise of the lake, and Saturday we had 54 boats in the show that was open to the public. The above picture is of my grandfather in his Chris Craft Rocket. My aunt is the passenger.
